The Refugee Center

From 2015-2018, I supported the efforts of The Refugee Center. As a freelancer I filmed and edited more than 40 pieces of content ranging from promotional, educational, non fiction, live event, and fundraising. The Refugee Center is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees connect with the necessary resources they need to succeed in America.

Ethos Music | Rural Outreach Program

In 2018 I produced a video series and designed a portion of the corresponding curriculum for Ethos Music's Rural Outreach project. This initiative brings the culture and heritage of Spain to rural children from underfunded communities where traditional music classes and cultural exposure are limited. My crew of 9 shot in 10 locations in Spain filming food, art, music, and history. This was a non-profit collaboration with Americorps educators. The Rural Outreach project serves more than 2,000 children throughout the state of Oregon annually. In addition to my producing and writing responsibilities I was also the Director of Photography for this project.

Nike golf

In 2018 I completed an internal marketing piece for Nike Golf. Working with the engineering team at Nike’s world headquarters I edited an explainer video a new product currently in development featuring 2018 #1 world ranking professional golfer Brooks Koepka.

USAMM.com

From 2010-2015 I was the video production manager for USAMM.com. I created commercial, internal/external explainer videos, web content, and non fiction pieces with a team of 3 others media professionals. I reported directly to the CEO - a decorated veteran military journalist and managed my departments budget as well as logistics. In addition to overseeing the day to day work I was also the primary editor, coordinating our work with an assistant producer, animator, and often several graphic designers. By leveraging successful email marketing campaigns and early integrative video techniques through marketing platforms like Wistia as well as A/B tested video placement, my team and I were able to put video production to serious work for a very critical clientele - the armed forces of the United States.
